A Kid’s Place

A Kid’s Place provides a safe, nurturing, and loving home for foster children ages birth to 22.  They focus on keeping brothers and sisters together during their time in foster care. Since their inception in 2009, they have provided over 271,000 “bed nights” (nights a child is tucked safely in a warm bed with clean PJ’s and a full tummy) to children right here in Tampa Bay.

Dear VL Sports Club Members,

This is a year we should all count our blessings and pay it forward by giving back to our community. Please support two very worthwhile charities that will make a difference right here in Wimauma. 

The Selah Way Foundation https://www.theselahway.org/ 

Located in Sarasota is a organization dedicated to preventing human trafficking. They will use the monies we raise for them to go into Wimauma Schools and educate children and staff on how to recognize and prevent human trafficking in our community.

C.A.R.E.https://www.careshelter.org/  

Located in Ruskin, is a no-kill animal shelter for neglected, abused and unwanted cats and dogs.  C.A.R.E will use the monies we raise for them to reduce the number of homeless and abandoned animals in our area through adoption, sterilization and education.

2 – Be A VIP! Even if you are not attending the dinner you can still become a VIP.  When you donate $100 you will receive two beautifully engraved “VIP Wine Glasses” and a copy of “Groomed,” a book by Elizabeth Melendez Fisher Good about overcoming sexual abuse.  Elizabeth is the CEO of the Selah Way Foundation and she will be speaking at our event.  The book is a Hardcover – Special Signed Charity Edition.  Your name will also be included in the program handout at the event.
